Aerial Reflection Garden floats above the communal interior of 40 Thorndike — many intricately cut mirrored stainless steel forms drifting in suspended space. The silhouettes draw from botanical systems, dream fragments, and abstract gesture. They hover, capturing and refracting natural light and ambient shadow as the day moves through them.
The architecture of the building becomes part of the composition. Reflections blend the surrounding plant life, moving people, and interior structure into the work itself. Every viewer position changes what gets pulled into the mirror — the garden is never the same twice.
I composed a monumental LED video wall that anchors the installation below, looping animations I built to echo the motifs hovering above. Analog and digital speak to each other across the open atrium — physical cuts above, color and rhythm below — together forming an evolving spatial ecosystem inside this public interior.
