Gold Fame Citrus Redux 2–4 are elements of landscapes that embody this idea using both natural and synthetic silhouetted form. The hybrid space emerges from my methodical paper-cutting technique and incessant audiobook listening. The polished brass frames and velvet border inlays fetishize the idea of a shrivelled, once-opulent land formed out of dwindling water resources in Los Angeles — as exemplified by Claire Vaye Watkins in her novel Gold Fame Citrus.
